Alfa Kitchens is a family business that was founded in 1986 by Mr & Mrs van Wyk. They started with 4 workers on a 60 square meter premises.  Mr van Wyk ran the Operations whilst Mrs van Wyk was handling all sales and administration.  One Installation team (Brother) was sufficient to handle all installations.

 

In April 2000 the 3rd Director Mr Stander (Son-in-law) joined the company.  At this stage there was a staff compliment of 11 and the premises consisted of 150 square meters.

 

In 2001 Alfa moved to bigger premises to accommodate the rapid growth.  State of the art equipment that was acquired in 2005 assisted Alfa in keeping up with the rapid growth the company experienced. The rented premises were bought in 2006 together with the adjacent factory.  Consisting of a total of 2600 square meters.  Staff compliment grew to 28, 2 full-time Installation teams and 2 sales executives.

 

Currently Alfa has a staff complement of 36 (including a Factory Supervisor & Foreman to ensure quality control).  Mr Stander is handling all quality control and production.  Mrs van Wyk is controlling all Administration, Finances and Sales.  Also being the go-between for the Sales Executives and Factory.  Mr van Wyk is controlling the Installers, Reparations and all special items that need to be produced.

Alfa has 4 full-time Installation Teams (1 Brother) and 3 Sales Executives (2 Daughters).

Alfa is proud to have a newly renovated Showroom that is open to clients for view at the Factory.  This includes our entire range of products that we work with, assisting clients to make an informed decision about the type of material, colour, handles, counter tops etc.  The Sales Consultants will go to each client, measuring the room and design the cupboards according to the client's requirement.  Once the plans are done a 3D Design is done on computer to give the client a very real picture of the end result.

 

Alfa works with a variety of products namely:  Impact, Renolit, Wrappe, Vineer, Semi-Solid and Solid Woods.  All these products are done in a variety of colours, enough to cater for each client's colour scheme.

 

Not only has Alfa been doing business with individual people, but are supplier to a number of Building Contractors and Developers over a number of years proving that our quality is of the highest standard and that this quality is done at a competitive price.
